electrical discharge technology that is enhanced for long duration, controlled additive manufacturing processes in a CNC machine. ARC technology enables printing of the widest variety of feed-stock alloys. Integral to the ARC Tool’s success is the process monitoring and control mechanisms.

POWDER + WIRE ARC

Not all alloys are available in wire form, additionally not every alloy prints with adequate properties for all applications. Therefore 3D Hybrid has developed its patent pending Wire+Powder tool as a co-deposition system.

This novel co-deposition system expands the Wire-Arc tools alloy capabilities. By combining a low cost standard wire with the extra ingredient of granular materials, this tool is able to alloy material in-situ. This also enables printing metal matrix composite structures, bulk metallic glass materials, and much more.
